  • 1 lb pasture-raised breakfast sausage

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

  • 2½ cups whole milk

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • Fresh biscuits for serving

Preparation

Instructions
  1. Brown sausage in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.

  2. Sprinkle flour over cooked sausage and stir well.

  3. Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.

  4. Simmer 5–8 minutes until thickened.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Serve hot over biscuits.
